grounded/ungrounded

Reflecting on my own mixed cultural heritage, this series is an exploration of what it’s like to live in Ireland from the portraits of those who have different cultural heritage. In an examination of the depth and complexities of our own personal histories, each portrait features the person lying against Irish soil. Still and solitary, it poses an immediate reflection from the intimate contact left there, skin to soil, on what it means to live in Ireland and what we call home.
