'My family home is in the middle of nowhere and I had nothing to do but read the angsty lyrics belonging to a friend of mine who always sent me his writing. I had started my first (of many) Tinder accounts and was starting to feel the burn of ghosting, girls who were ‘just experimenting’ and the excitement of talking to girls who were actually interested in me. It was a trip. My friend had said to me that I should try writing a song about it to see if it would work as a release for me. That’s when I fell in love with writing.'
